What You’ll Do
-
Digital Consulting / Innovation / Client Leadership:
- Serve as an expert digital consultant leading Digital Business Transformation initiatives and producing relevant deliverables; as well as understanding of our innovation & design capabilities that could consider strategy, industrial design, spatial design, digital design, technology, and work directly with client teams to position the engagement and EPAM for success
- Introduce EPAM Continuum’s range of Innovation services (and their value) while contributing to create them within EPAM’s different business units and with clients
- Working under the leadership of a Portfolio Head and in coordination with EPAM business leadership; Develop effective relationships with key internal executives, BU heads, Account Managers, Solution SME’s, Sales and Delivery Leaders
- Stay abreast of current and emerging trends, unique opportunities and challenges of the space/geographies in which our clients operate, and how it affects clients’ business and initiatives
- Align with EPAM Account Managers and Senior Leadership to co-develop / support account plans and strategies for delivery, growth, and client satisfaction
- Serve as the client engagement lead, responsible for digital and customer engagement strategies and program roadmaps, and work directly with client product, marketing, and/or IT teams to position the engagement and EPAM for success
- Establish and cultivate strong relationships with clients at senior levels as well as external and internal partners to maximize growth within an account/client portfolio
- Understand the intersection between technology, customers, and business

Digital Solution Delivery / Orchestration:
- Responsible for shaping digital solutions and properly scoping engagements, establishing optimal operating models and project team organisation
- Leading the transition from the sales process to the delivery phase
- Understand the full end-end product cycle, from product vision/strategy, user experience design through development and release
- Work closely with project/program management to ensure successful delivery through an integrated consulting + delivery model
- Able to accurately plan & scope new projects during pre-sales, working with project/delivery management where appropriate

Practitioner Management:
- Directly manage designers, researchers, strategists and CX consultants, understanding their professional ambitions, guiding their careers, and growing their skills
- Set up right cadence of internal meetings with local team, build connections with other APAC members, assign mentors and share work between studios

Drive Growth:
- Contribute to digital revenue within the client / account portfolio by identifying opportunities and influence / sell-in EPAM services
- Align with EPAM BU’s goals and objectives, support company financial goals by helping with digital revenue targets
- Support sales / pre-sales activities by assessing digital, innovation & design opportunities, responding to RFP’s, creating proposals and presentations, establishing relationships with clients and prospective clients, and helping to close new deals
- Control and communicate the business funnel, providing accurate and timely reporting and management of all new project opportunities relating to your portfolio through EPAM systems
Requirements

10+ years of demonstrated success in developing and growing client relationships and leading teams delivering end-to-end solutions, with particular focus on customer research, innovation, experience strategy, product design & digital solutions

Awareness of technical platforms, business models, subject matter, and trends – with a focus on digital

Strong problem solver and creative thinker with gravitas
-
Ability to operate at the strategic level, yet being close enough to the details to add value to clients and be a real support to your team

Background in automotive, travel, real estate, telco or IoT desirable but not mandatory
-
Exceptional leadership/management skills and superb oral and written communication, with seasoned presentation skills
-
Strong digital knowledge or experience with particular emphasis on strategy, consulting, team management and product development

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Track record of leading project teams

Proven ability to manage client engagements to successful completion

Sound business acumen; strategic skills; common sense

Native Japanese communication and command of local business practices/customs

Fluent or High Business English communication skills with strong negotiation skills (CEFR B2+ or higher)

Able to produce engaging presentations and proposals
