More stores to open doors for stuffed shoppers Thanksgiving night

Black Friday——so-called because it marks the point at which many stores reach profitability for the year——long has been the official start of the holiday-shopping season. But fierce competition is prompting a record number of large chains, including Target and Wal-Mart, to roll out door-buster deals Thursday night, making Black Friday seem a little less, well, crazy.
